The Dallas Cowboys, having clinched their third straight NFC East title, may have their starting quarterback in the lineup Saturday when they host the Cleveland Browns.Troy Aikman, who has missed the last 2 1/2 games with a knee injury, expects to be available to play for the defending Super Bowl champions. The Cowboys won both games Aikman was forced to miss, including last Sunday's 31-19 at Philadelphia over the Eagles.
Rodney Peete, who was coming back from an injured thumb, completed 10-of-17 for 172 yards and a touchdown in his first start of the season. The win was Dallas' third straight and 14th in a row over division opponents.
Cleveland is coming off a 16-13 upset at home by the New York Giants. The loss dropped the Browns a game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Central. Cleveland visits Pittsburgh on Sunday, December 18th.
The Browns lead the all-time series with Dallas, 16-10, with the Cowboys winning the most recent meeting between the teams, 26-10, at Cleveland to open the 1991 season. Cleveland has not visited Dallas since 1985.
