IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The defending Super Bowl champion Dallas Cowboys are just a win away from clinching a playoff spot in early December, but all they're talking about is the homefield advantage.
Dallas can win a division title in Philadelphia on Sunday but the players say if it happens they'll take it in stride.
"The only thing we're going to celebrate is getting a homefield advantage in the playoffs," safety Darren Woodson said. "Even that will be pretty mild. A lot of us don't care if we play on the road. We like beating teams on their field."
Dallas (10-2) is tied with San Francisco in the NFC but lost head-to-head to the 49ers.
The Cowboys resumed practice after their 42-31 victory over Green Bay and the question was who will start at quarterback on Sunday?
Troy Aikman, who missed the victory over the Jason Garrett-inspired victory over the Packers with a sprained knee ligament, was moving much better and indicated he might be able to play.
"My knee is getting better and I'll probably know more by Wednesday," Aikman said. "I always want to get back as quick as I can even though we have the Red Ball Express from Princeton."
Garrett threw two touchdown passes in the victory over the Packers. The third-stringer played because both Aikman and Rodney Peete were hurt. Peete had a sore thumb.
Peete's thumb was better and Garrett said "I could be running the scout team stuff later in the week. That's fine with me. I'm just glad the team had faith in me on Thursday."
Philadelphia is three games behind Dallas with four to play.
"This is kind of a surprise," Woodson said. "Before the season started, we thought Philadelphia would be there all the way. We thought the Dec. 4 game might decide the division title. We've had some strange things happening in the NFC East this year. The Giants dropped off and Arizona didn't han g in there like we thought they would."
Offensive lineman Nate Newton said Dallas realizes it will get Philadelphia's best shot.
"We can't even get Cincinnati to lay down when we play 'em," Newton said. "They'll test us."
