Dallas vs Oilers --- September 11, 1994
Houston recvs the ball. Dalls D forces 3 and out. Dallas starts on their
own 30. They methodically move the ball via the pass. Houston is keying
on Emmitt and Irvin. We can count Harper out. So we go to Novacek.
Finally IRvin frees himself up and we move down the field. HOuston has a
pass interference penalty called at the 7 or 8. Three plays later,
Emmitt scores on a 2 yard dive.
Dallas 7
Hou 0
Hou starts at the 25 yard line. Lucky Bucky looks good and promptly
moves the team. The dallas rush is fierce but bucky somehow eludes some
of the rush. Haley is relentless. He is possessed. But bucky keeps his
composure and moves the team to the 14 yard line. ON the next play
Givins is flagged for a block in the back. givins throws the flag at the
official and gets an unsportsman conduct foul. It is decided that their
was no block in the back but they would enforce the unsportsman foul.
Hou is but back to to around dall 30. Haley again sacks bucky for a loss
arouind the 38. bucky move it back to the 28 via the pass. Hou is forced
to settle for 3.

Dallas will start on the 20 yard line du e to a touchback by del greco.
Well it is now EMMIT TIME!! WITH three stright handoffs to Emmitt.
Dallas is now on their own 42.
End of Quarter.
The emmitt drive continues brilliantly. Dalls moves right down the field
only throwing sparingly. Emmitt is getting at least 6 yards on every
carry. Dall moves to the hous 28. Hou stiffens and stops dallas on 3
plays. Bonoil attempts a 45 yarder. IT IS GOOD!!!!!!

UH OH!!! WOODSON IS HURT!!!! HE IS HOLDING HIS ARM. bROCK mARION
REPLACES HIM. Woodsons injury wasn't serious. He was back in after one
play. Buckys 3rd possession isnt very good. They force him out after 3
and out.
Hous punts to Dall and dall starts at the 22 or 23 yard line.

on 1st down aikman throws a bomb to Irvin. It bounces off of Irvins
hands and lands in the db's hands. Hou runs the ball back to the dall
23. The db was lying on the ground when he caught it. Looks like we
have more than one butterfingers receiver.
Hou moves the ball mainly on the ground to tie the score up.

Looks like we have a game here.

The dall O is struggling. They throw 3 straigh incompletions. Two of the
balls should have been caught. There has been an unsportsman like foul
against HOu. HOus starts on their own 13. Hou doesnt do much. They move
it to about their own 40.
Dallas recvs the ball and after 2 running plays, Aikman throws a bomb to
Harper. Harper takes it down to the Hou 33. After 2 unsuccessful runs,
Dal is faced with 3rd and long. Dallas again misfires on a pass to
Irvin. Dallas decides to pooch punt and pins hou on their own 3. With
3rd and inches, lucky bucky throws a pass and it is incomplete. Dallas
has the ball on their own 35 with :32 left.
Aikman and Irvin crank it up with two straight passes over the middle.
Aikman then prompltly scramble for about 9. With :11 seconds left,
Aikman throws over to the right side of the defense to Irvin. Irvin gets
to the 11 with :05 seconds left. Rookie Chris Bonoil kicks a 29 field
goal and it is good.

Dallas will receive the opening kickoff in the 3rd quarter.
HALFTIME.
dallas O is really struggling. They go three and out. HOus is actually
moving it a little better than Dallas. HOus is faced with a 3rd and 12
around the Hou 35 or 40 yard line. This game has turned into a defensive
struggle for both teams. Hous again tries to throw but CHAD HENNINGS
breaks loose and again tackles Bucky for a HUGE LOSS!!
dALLAS HAS a 15 yard return of the punt. They will start at their own 35.

Come on Dallas lets get some offense going....NOW!!!!!!
THIS LOOKS AWFUL. Aikman tries two long bombs which are perfectly
covered. ON 3rd down, Hou stops Emmitt in the backfield on a crunching
tackle by two defensive lineman. Emmitt is pissed. He walks slowly off
the field and throws his helmet to the ground. Dallas once again has to
punt. HOu starts on the 12 yard line.
Bucky drops back and throws a bomb to Jeffires to the dallas 30...WOW!!
Brown carries them down to the dall 20. FINALLY, bucky makes his 1st
mistake, he throws an interception to Woodson. WHEW!!! This is getting
too close for comfort. HOuston is playing an inspired game! Dallas
tAkes over on about the 20 yard line.
5:59 remaining.
This is still a struggle but the O is moving a little better. Dallas
this time turns to D.Johnston on a run and a pass to keep this drive
going. Irvin makes another catch but is kneed in the butt. He has to
leave for a play or two. ON 3rd and 2 Hou jumps off sides and gives
Dallas a first down. THANKS, HOU. on 1st down Aikman fades back and
gain throw a bomb to ALVIN HARPER!!! He catches it on the 10 and races in
for a touchdown!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the Pat is good.

LESS THAN 3:00 REMAINING.
this game has really turned into a HARD HITTING AFFAIR. Bucky is
starting to get pressured more and more. So is Aikman. Haley comes on a
massive rush with the whistles blowing and he plants his helmet right
into bucky's sternum. Haley didnt' hear the whistles. Half the houston
bench starts to go out on the field. Incredibly there is no penalty.
on the very next play, Bucky throws a pass to Brown, he bobbles it and it
lands in hALEY'S HANDS. INTERCEPTION!!! But alas, Dallas can't move the
ball and has to punt.
END OF QUARTER.
Dallas punts to Hou and it is a touchback.

HOu starts on their own 20, Bucky is starting to look like a rookie now.
About time. They do move it to the Dallas 35, but he fumbles it twice
and also threw a near interception. ONly the collision of the defenders
knocks keeps it from being an interception. Hous is forced to punt and
pins dallas on the 10 yard line.

It hasn't been pretty but at least we are ahead.
Dallas again struggles and has to punt.
HOu has moved the ball all the way down to the dall 12 yard line. Bucky
is throwing well and has had to scramble.. He can certainly do that
extremely well.
HOu moves down and does score.

Okay, so now it has come down to this. IT is CRUNCH TIME! You want to be
considered the best this is time to prove it.
On the ensuing kickoff, it goes to Holmes and is plastered at the 25.
BAM!!!! Okay Dallas let's do it..

Well it is the same old story. THE HOUSTON CHOKERS HAVE DONE IT AGAIN.
With Dallas with the ball and around 2:15 minutes remaining. Hou rushes
Aikman and tips the ball. But in the process hit Aikman in the head and
gets a roughing the passing call. That was uncalled from Eddie Robinson
but what can you expect, they CHOKED AGAIN!!!!!!! Dalls is forced to
give the ball up with 22 seconds left. HOuston starts on their own 20.
The last play of the game ends in a lucky bucky sack. WE WIN!!!

HOUSTON 0-2.
On a side note, Emmitt was slightly injured. He hit his elbow on the turf
with a guy on him. It looked like he jammed the arm into his shoulder
socket. He was holding it the same way he did last year in the Giants
game. I think he is hurt more than he is letting on.
I think Houston found their starting QB. BUCKY RICHARDSON IS MUCH MUCH
BETTER THAN CODY CARLSON.

Yikes! 20-17 victory. Too close for comfort. Houston always plays Big D
tough. I like the Harper catch. Emmitt's elbow should be fine. The Defense
was disappointing at the end. One, Houston should have never scored the
last touchdown. Two, the secondary has to learn how to catch. There should
have been 3 INT's. They took Richardson for granted and he almost
single-handedly beat Big D. The 4-7 has got to go. Big D got snake-bit on
it. It does not work against the run and shoot.
